Where do you get support from? Do you have friends in the industry?
I’m very fortunate to have some wonderful friends in the industry. There’s also my daughter, who is very proud of me, my brother, and my two critique partners Evan Trevane and Kimberly Comeau. They all keep me going.
How much sleep do you need to be your best?
Seven hours seems to be the magic number for me.
Every writer has their own idea of what a successful career in writing is, what does success in writing look like to you?
That’s easy! Being able to write full time.
Tell us about your new book? What’s it about and why did you write it?
My latest book is the second book in the Highland Lords series, My Highland Lord. These are stand alone books. My Highland Lord is about a woman whose father was accused of being a traitor, so she became a British spy in hopes of proving his innocence. She meets a Scottish marquess who she comes to find works a bit outside the law.
If you could have a dinner party and invite anyone dead or alive, who would you ask?
Mark Twain, Charles Dickens, and Stephen King would do for starters.
Do you have any tips on how writers can relax?
As a writer, I relax by reading or watching a good movie, but I think that works for just about anyone.
How often do you write? And when do you write?
I try to write every day.
