A 3rd Time to Die by George Bernstein
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
In some scenes, this book exceeded my expectations. The prologue for example when Charles reminds himself of Victoria's sensuality and then there was Chapter Fifteen, when Craig tries to come to terms with his wife's cheating ways.
Then there were the moments when the book let me down. Small errors as they may be which may not interrupt some readers, it bothered me that the chapter headers were not consistent and paragraphs started and ended wherever they liked. I have read many a Kindle book since I starter blogging and paragraph transitions were much smoother.
The plot itself spoke to me. Cheating spouse, a lover from the past and circumstances we don't want to be in are all common feelings between a reader. Mr. Bernstein then coats the plot with reincarnation which made me like it even more.
All in, this book was full of discovery, every turn a surprise. Mr. Bernstein is a master of story, pulling the reader towards the next chapter and then the next. Very touching all the way through. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a wonderfully rewarding book.
